August 2007Completion of outfall at Peterhead for Alisrose Limited
The Peterhead Outfall was a 362m long x 250mm diameter polyethylene gravity fed outfall installed from a 10m high cliff top to a sub-sea exit in 22m water depth, 320m offshore. The ground conditions were Granite. The bore exit point was at depth in strong tidal area with significant currents which made diving extremely difficult and the installation was only made possible by use of Longbore’s patented Pipe Pushing Technology which allowed all works to be conducted from the shore with no requirement for any marine intervention. |
