The Fraserburgh Outfall was a 327m long x 180mm diameter polyethylene gravity fed outfall installed from a 25m high cliff top to a sub-sea exit in 13m water depth, 320m offshore. The ground conditions were Quartz Mica Schist . The bore exit point was at depth in strong tidal area with significant currents which and the installation was only made possible by use of Longbore’s patented Pipe Pushing Technology which allowed all works to be conducted from the shore with no requirement for any marine intervention. |
